| Glenn Beck: True Patriot or False Hope? 
By Victor Thorn Glenn Beck is the hottest multi-media talent today. His January 19
inaugural broadcast on the Fox News Channel rated second among all cable shows,
following only perennial front-runner Bill O’Reilly.
Beck’s nationally syndicated radio
program has the third most listeners in America, while he’s had successive books
reach No.1 on the New
York Times bestseller
list. Beck even publishes a monthly magazine, and does yearly stage shows that
crisscross the country to soldout audiences.
To his credit, Beck is an ardent
proponent of smaller government, lower taxes, and is highly suspicious of the
two-party Republican-Democratic machine that strangles our political system. He
also adamantly opposes illegal immigration and the socialist-style bailouts that
have been championed by Presidents Bush and Obama. Furthermore, Beck
periodically gives Texas Rep. Ron Paul a forum, while most mainstream talking
heads avoid him.
Patriots may see Beck as
one of the few glimmering rays of hope in an otherwise stagnant pool of media
disinformation that is undermining our country. Looks can be deceiving, and
Beck is performing a serious disservice to his audiences on four primary
fronts.

9-11 Truth—Beck is one of the most savage
pit bulls against those who have painstakingly proven that the government’s
official explanation of 9-11 is an unmitigated lie. During an October 2007
broadcast on CNN, Beck attacked the 9-11 truth movement as being “insane,” “dangerous
anarchists,” and compared them to “the kind of group a Timothy McVeigh would
come from.” He continued, “These truthers are exactly the kind of people who
want to rock this nation’s foundation, tear us apart, and plant the seeds of
dissatisfaction.” Even more inexcusably, during an Aug. 11, 2006 radio
broadcast, a caller asked, “What do you think about the fact that bombs went
off inside the [WTC] buildings?” Initially rattled by this question, Beck replied,
“If you drop a body 80 or 90 stories, when it hits the pavement, it sounds like
a bomb.”
The audacity of this statement is
reprehensible. Beck completely discounts
the testimony of New York City
firefighters, emergency responders, those who were inside the towers and
luckily escaped, eyewitnesses on the street, plus WTC employees such as the
heroic William Rodriguez. All of these individuals described hearing massive
explosions inside the towers before they collapsed, yet Beck attributes these
jarring sounds to WTC occupants jumping out of windows and landing hundreds of
feet below.
If Beck genuinely wanted to know
the truth about 9-11, he’d allow a legitimate 9-11 investigator to explain the
WTC collapses using nothing more than mathematics, physics, and simple science
that any eighth-grader could understand. Yet he absolutely refuses to do so;
and instead continues a campaign against “dangerous conspiracy theorists.”
Federal Reserve—To his credit, Beck has been a vehement
crusader against the recent rash of bailouts that will eventually bankrupt our
Treasury. He’s also explained his comprehensive examination of Woodrow Wilson—one
of America’s
worst presidents ever—and the shenanigans that occurred during his tenure in office.
Yet, Beck won’t disclose one of
the most essential pieces to the puzzle: That the Federal Reserve is a
privately owned, for-profit corporation that lends money to the U.S. at
interest and is run by a cartel of international bankers. It’s not an official
government agency, nor has it ever been audited. If Beck hammered this one
point home on a daily basis and explained its significance to everyday
citizens, a firestorm would immediately brew, especially now that trillions of
unaccounted interest-beating dollars are rolling off the printing presses.
The New
World Order—In
regard to the overall political picture, Beck still pushes a naïve belief in
the left-right paradigm, when in actuality he should be exposing globalists and
international bankers as our predominant enemy. Similar to other media pundits,
Beck fails to make the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission,
and Bilderbergs an integral part of his analysis.
Likewise, Beck has failed to
expose the truth behind such historical events as FDR’s foreknowledge of Pearl Harbor,
the wider conspiracy behind OKC, and the American government’s direct
involvement in drug trafficking, money laundering, and assassinations, such as that
of John F. Kennedy.
Some may argue, “No one in the
mainstream media will touch these subjects, so why are you singling out Glenn
Beck?” The reason is: within the past two years, Beck has made a point of
saying that he’s been studying the “real” history ofAmerican politics. Granted,
he has revealed more than any other corporate radio show host. But to truly
enlighten the populace, he must go all the way instead of simply skirting
around the edges.
Israel—A cornerstone of Beck’s agenda has
been the “war on terror.” But in thousands of broadcasts, he has yet to point a
finger at Israel’s
horrific reign of terror. Especially
egregious was Israel’s
attack on the USS
Liberty in 1967,
its central role in 9-11, the Lavon affair, and the widespread war crimes in
2006 against Hezbollah in Lebanon,
and more recently in Gaza
against Hamas and the Palestinian people.
During his monologues, Beck often
mentions how we need to cover all sides of a story, not just one. However, if he practiced what he preached,
Beck would devote a segment of television airtime to the atrocities committed
against innocent U.S. servicemen aboard the USS Liberty when Israel slaughtered them in cold blood.* Beck has by far
ventured further into “conspiracy politics” than any of his colleagues. His
economic analysis is superb, his conservative principles are exemplary, and his
rhetoric regarding American sovereignty could not be clearer.
Still, to precipitate real,
authentic change, Beck cannot provide only lip service, or engage in protection
rackets for the New World Order elite or Israel. If America is to be saved, it’s going
to take men of courage to unabashedly stand up and expose the real criminal
network that is sabotaging and destroying us.
Our Founding Fathers possessed the courage to do so.
Will Glenn Beck follow in their
footsteps, or continue to smear those who have true grit?
